Colour and pattern may vary slightly from the pictured blank, due to the manufacturing process.

Please note, mica pearl can be a brittle material to work with. On close inspection, chipped edges are visible on the blank which shows the potential brittle nature of the material.

It is recommended:

• Cut a mica pearl blank ¼” longer rather than the 1/8” you would normally practice, as this will help keep the blank useable.
• If the drill bit breaks through the bottom, it may chip, therefore it is advised that you drill slowly to avoid this from happening.
• Cut it back, or use your barrel trimmer to remove the excess.
• When turning, it is recommended to use a scraper rather than a gouge to prevent the gouge edge digging into the material and chipping or breaking the blank.
• This will take longer than normal, but on the plus side, once finished and polished, the results are stunning!
