A Grinding Wheel for All Materials

With this diamond wheel, you can sharpen nearly any type of material, including steel, ceramic and carbide. The DE-200 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine fits the Tormek T-4 Original, Tormek T-4 Bushcraft, Tormek T-3 and earlier models with a 200 mm diameter grinding wheel.

The DE-200 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine is especially appraised by woodcarvers and others who need their bevels to have a mirror finish. If you need to create a new edge or shape, we recommend doing that on a coarser grinding wheel first, such as the DC-200 Diamond Wheel Coarse or DF-200 Diamond Wheel Fine. Then you can give the finishing touch with the DE-200 for a mirror polish.

Simplifies Repeat Sharpening

All of Tormek's diamond grinding wheels have exceptional durability with a constant removal rate and shape, which means that they always stay round and flat with a full-size diameter. Users who often sharpen the same tool benefit greatly from this, as it simplifies both setting up and sharpening.

Get a Completely Flat Bevel

The constant shape makes it possible to grind either on the side of the wheel or on its upper surface, giving an edge with a completely flat bevel instead of a slight hollow grind. For sharpening on the side, we recommend using the MB-102 Multi Base together with the jig designed for your specific tool.

Rust Protection

All diamond wheels are supplied with 150 ml of ACC-150 Anti-Corrosion Concentrate. Always add the concentrate to the water when sharpening to prevent rust on the grinding wheel. We recommend always using water when sharpening with diamond grinding wheels if possible. You can also sharpen without water.

Note: Apply only very low pressure when sharpening on diamond grinding wheels – let the diamonds do the work. Too high pressure can damage the wheel beyond repair.
